Ingalls shipbuilders will adhere to the following work schedule for the week of November 25–29, 2024, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Management will inform shipbuilders if the schedule in their specific work area is different from the schedule below.
Union-Represented Shipbuilders
November 25-26: 8-hour work day
- First and Second shift: Normal working hours
- Third and Fourth shift: Will work alongside 2nd shift this week only
November 27: 5-hour work day (all time worked in excess of 5 hours is overtime)
- First shift: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., no lunch break
- Second shift: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., no lunch break
- Third and Fourth shift: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., no lunch break
November 28-29: Shipyard will be closed (paid holiday)
In order to receive holiday pay, all union-represented shipbuilders must work 5 regular hours Wednesday, November 27 and work 6 regular hours Monday, December 2. Vacation may be taken in 2-, 4-, and 8-hour increments.
Please ensure that you enter and approve your time by the end of your shift on Wednesday. Shipbuilders working overtime Thursday and Friday must have their time entered by the end of shift and approved on both days.
Shipbuilders not represented by a union:
- November 27: 8-hour work day. Before you depart for the holiday, please ensure that you have entered and approved your time.
- November 28-29: Shipyard will be closed (paid holiday)
