More than 1,200 shipbuilders connected with many resources and benefits during the Shipbuilder Resource Showcase in October. Being strategically located outside of the gate, the Shipbuilder Resource Showcase is an opportunity to bring benefits and resources directly to the shipbuilders. In addition to talking with representatives from various Ingalls benefits and resources, shipbuilders also voted in the Holiday Card contest, received free swag, and had the opportunity to purchase Ingalls-branded merchandise.

The Shipbuilder Engagement office hosts these showcases every quarter, giving shipbuilders the opportunity to build connections and stay engaged.

“I had time to stop, talk, and ask questions,” said Tommie Williams, an insulator attending the event for the first time.

Caroline Woods, an intern in Human Resources, shared information with shipbuilders about long service awards at the event.

“Shipbuilders get excited hearing about it and I get excited informing them,” said Caroline.

The Culture Connectors have hosted three showcases this year at different locations around Ingalls, highlighting the many benefits of being an Ingalls shipbuilder while offering everyone a chance to connect, learn and celebrate our community.
