A new paperless hiring process will make becoming an Ingalls shipbuilder a more seamless and efficient experience. The Information Technology (IT) and Human Resources & Administration (HR&A) organizations are proud to present DOMA, a highly customizable content services platform that allows for the capture, storage and instant access of digital records.
DOMA, which is short for Document Management, offers a secure platform that will support craft candidates by leveraging innovative technologies, such as Intelligent Character Recognition, Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation to simplify and automate business operations.
Previously, hard copies including a signature were required for documents. These were stored in a physical folder, resulting in nearly one and a half million individual pieces of paper being stored. With DOMA, these documents will now be stored digitally.
“Going paperless allows us to benefit from streamlined processes, cost savings and better security with paperless HR files,” said Fatina Brave, director, Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development. “It also increases efficiency and compliance and provides a better experience for employees.”
