HII Employees:
In the six years since it was established, the Huntington Ingalls Industries Scholarship Fund has provided educational opportunities to 550 children of employees across the HII enterprise.
To date, 980 scholarships have been awarded or renewed for a total of more than $2 million and plan to award up to 100 new scholarships this year.
If you have a child who will be enrolled in a two- or four-year college or trades program or a pre-kindergarten school readiness program for the 2022-2023 school year, please note that the applications are now being accepted. All applications must be completed and submitted by 4 p.m. EDT (3 p.m. CDT) Saturday, April 16.
The HII Scholarship Fund is administered by Scholarship America. Individual award amounts will range from $1,500 annually for selected students enrolled in a two-year college program to $3,000 per year for selected students enrolled in a four-year program. The fund also awards scholarships of up to $3,000 toward pre-K school readiness education costs.
Children of all HII employees are eligible to apply, with the exception of children of senior executives and those employees who have been with the company for less than two years. Employees with eligible dependents are encouraged to apply this year, regardless of selection status in previous years. The selection process is independent of HII and based on academic scholarship. No employee or officer of HII will play a part in the selection process.
