The safety of our shipbuilders remains a top priority. As freezing temperatures continue, Ingalls operations will remain suspended for all shifts at its Pascagoula and Avondale facilities on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Essential personnel who are required to be on-site will be notified by their management.
Normal operations for all shifts at Pascagoula and Avondale will resume Friday, January 24, 2025.
Represented shipbuilders will be paid in accordance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Exempt, Non-Exempt, and Non-Represented Shipbuilder Pay Policy
• Non-represented shipbuilders with the ability to work remotely should do so and charge their appropriate charge number.
• Non-represented shipbuilders without the ability to work remotely will be paid for lost time during their normal shift for any plant closure.
• All non-represented shipbuilders are expected to make every effort to perform productive work during their normal shift while the facility closure is in effect and should charge their appropriate charge number.
PTO and Lost Time Charging
• Non-represented shipbuilders who had planned PTO for any affected shifts should continue to charge PTO for any portion of their shift during which they were not productive.
• Non-represented shipbuilders unable to work remotely during their normal shift under the facility closure should charge any lost time unable to be made up to the following account: Account 0174 and your Cost Center
