Thursday, July 2 will be a regular workday, and Ingalls will be closed on Friday, July 3. All shipbuilders will receive eight hours of holiday pay.
Represented shipbuilders are reminded of the work requirement before and after the holiday in order to qualify for holiday pay.
Thursday, 7/2 - Union represented shipbuilders must work a minimum of 5 Regular hours or take vacation to qualify for holiday pay.
Monday , 7/6 - Union represented shipbuilders must work a minimum of 6 Regular hours or take vacation to qualify for holiday pay.
Hours worked before the start of their shift are paid as time/half and does not count towards the 5 or 6 Regular hour requirement.
Employees may take vacation to cover regular hours not worked in increments of 2, 4 or 8-hour increments.
Management will inform shipbuilders if the schedule in their specific work area is different from the schedule above.
